These rules set out what may and may not be posted as a listing (work) on Art For Us. A work is published as soon as you post it and confirm that you have read and accepted these rules — without waiting for an administrator’s review. The administrator reserves the right to remove a listing that breaches these rules afterwards and to notify you, with the reason.
Nudity and the nude
Paintings, drawings and sculptures depicting the nude are allowed — depicting the human body is a legitimate artistic genre and has been part of this platform from the start (the “Akt” (nude) category in Fine art).
Nude photography is allowed only within the “Fine art akt” (fine art nude) genre in Photography, with artistic intent — otherwise photorealistic nudity falls under stricter rules, because it reads as explicit content more easily than a painted or drawn abstraction.
When posting a work, the seller warrants that all models shown are adults (18+) and have consented to being shown. This warranty is the seller’s personal responsibility.
Actual pornography (explicit sexual acts, as opposed to artistic depiction of the body) is prohibited in all categories, without exception.
Erotica (literature)
Allowed as a sub-genre within Prose, but it must carry a content-warning label — it is not shown unlabelled in general browsing.
Minors — zero tolerance
Any content involving minors in an inappropriate context is strictly prohibited, without exception. Such a work is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities.
Authenticity
A work must be the seller’s own original work (or that of a publisher/gallery holding the appropriate rights). Reproductions and prints must be clearly labelled as such — they are never sold as originals.
Copyright
By posting a work you warrant that you hold the rights to the photos and text you publish and that you are not infringing anyone else’s copyright, related rights or other rights (including the rights of persons shown in photos). A rights holder can report an infringement on theCopyright infringement notice page; a well-founded notice leads to the listing being removed and, after 3 upheld notices, to the account being closed.
Illegal and counterfeit items
Listing weapons, drugs, stolen goods and forgeries of known works is prohibited.
War and nationalist symbols, hate speech
Content that glorifies war crimes, incites hatred on national, religious or ethnic grounds, or displays symbols whose display is prohibited by law in any of the countries we cover (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia) is prohibited.
Enforcement
A work is published immediately after it is posted — the administrator does not review it in advance. The administrator may remove a work that breaches these rules at any time, giving a reason of which the seller is notified. Repeated breaches may lead to suspension of the account.
Reports and temporary hiding
Every listing has a “Report listing” button, and every seller a “Report creator” button. We review reports as soon as possible. While a report awaits review, the listing may be temporarily hidden from search and browsing — this is not a penalty but a precaution; if the report is unfounded, the listing is restored with no consequences for the seller.
Misuse of reports (deliberately false or coordinated reports against competitors) is itself a breach of the rules.
Messages and commissioned work
Messages are for arranging a specific work or a commission. Harassment, unsolicited messages (spam) and attempted fraud are prohibited. The platform takes no part in payment — never send payment card details in messages.
Any user can unilaterally block another user in a conversation; a block stops new messages, requests and offers, but does not delete existing orders. A conversation can be reported; the administrator may then review it and remove inappropriate messages or images. Without a report, the administrator does not read private conversations.
A request for a reproduction may only concern a work by that creator, or a work for which the buyer holds the copyright or permission — not images found on the internet. Reference images attached by the buyer are subject to the same rules as listings. An “Offer” is a documented agreement, not a payment request; the buyer accepts it with one click, which creates an order.
Ratings
Rating is unlocked when the creator confirms that the specific purchase has been completed or, if the creator does not do so, automatically 14 days after the order. The buyer can then rate the creator, and the creator the buyer — through a few guided questions and a short comment. A rating is publicly visible immediately and cannot be changed; the deadline for rating is 90 days from the confirmation or from the automatic unlocking.
Only confirm purchases that actually took place. Fake purchases made to obtain ratings, offensive comments, personal details (phone number, address) and ratings unrelated to the purchase are prohibited. Every rating can be reported; the administrator may remove the comment or the whole rating, and serious or repeated breaches lead to the account being blocked.
Account bans
For serious or repeated breaches of the rules, an account may be blocked temporarily or permanently. A blocked account can no longer be reported, and its listings are not visible. We send the reason for the block by email. Content involving minors leads to an immediate permanent block and a report to the competent authorities.
